The Fifteenth (15th) Executive Committee Meeting was held from November 18-19, 2014, at the Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas and at the PEMSEA office, Philippines, respectively. The meeting presented and discussed the following: summary of major recommendations from the last Executive Committee Meeting and decisions of the 6th EAS Partnership Council Meeting; EAS Congress and Ministerial Forum 2015; proposal from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of RO Korea; PRF Executive Director’s post; PEMSEA's Brand Guidance Report; implementation of the Strategy and Implementation Plan for Achieving a Self-Sustained PEMSEA; updating the SDS-SEA; among other matters.

The Fourteenth (14th) Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Tagaytay Highlands, Philippines, on 25-26 April 2014. This publication summarizes the output of the meeting. The Meeting presented and discussed the following: summary of major recommendations from the last Executive Committee Meeting and Actions taken; PEMSEA’s progress towards becoming a self-sustaining international organization; Audit Committee Report; EAS Congress 2015 and Fifth Ministerial Forum; updating the SDSSEA; updates on project development in support of the 5-year regional SDS-SEA Implementation Plan (2012-2016); PEMSEA Work Plan and Budget 2014; and the provisional agenda for the 6th EAS Partnership Council.

The Thirteenth (13th) Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Oakwood Hotel and Bulwagan Ninoy at the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau (PAWB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Manila, Philippines, on 28 and 29 October 2013, respectively. This publication summarizes the output of the meeting. The Meeting focused on the following key issues: establishment of a PEMSEA Trust Fund as a sustainable financing mechanism; selection of a PRF Executive Director; preparation for PEMSEA's next phase and ensuring continuity and sustainability of PEMSEA's operations, among others.

The Twelfth (12th) Executive Committee Meeting was held at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Manila, Philippines, on 3 and 4 April 2013. This publication summarizes the output of the meeting. The meeting focused on key issues pertaining to the following: strengthening the regional ownership of PEMSEA; implementation of the PRF Re-Engineering Plan; implementation of the 5-Year Regional SDS-SEA Implementation Plan; election of a new set of Partnership Council Officers and Co-Chairs; status of PEMSEA’s Trust Fund; status of GEF Evaluation Office impact evaluation report on South China Sea project and adjacent seas, among others.

The Eleventh (11th) Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Hubei Hotel, Beijing, China on 27 and 28 October 2012. This publication summarizes the output of the meeting. The meeting delved on critical issues pertaining to: PEMSEA's transformation into a sustainable operating mechanism; strengthening the leadership and ownership of PEMSEA; and ensuring PEMSEA’s continuity. In general, the Meeting underscored that PEMSEA’s sustainability depends highly on the continued strengthening of the partnership and ownership of PEMSEA by the Countries who are the major stakeholders in the region, as well as by the Non-Country Partners, collaborators, and donors/sponsors that play a crucial role in meeting the objectives of the Sustainable Development Strategy for the Seas of East Asia (SDS-SEA).

The Tenth (10th) Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center, on 20 April 2012 and at the PEMSEA Resource Facility, Manila, Philippines, on 21 April 2012. The Meeting was attended by the EAS Partnership Council Chair, Dr. Chua Thia-Eng; Technical Session Chair, Mr. Hiroshi Terashima; Council Co-Chair Ambassador Mary Seet-Cheng; Intergovernmental Session Co-Chair Undersecretary Analiza Rebuelta-Teh; and Technical Session Co-Chair Prof. Chul-Hwan Koh. A representative from the Ocean Policy Research Foundation (OPRF) of Japan participated as an observer. The PEMSEA Resource Facility (PRF) served as the Secretariat for the meeting.

The Eighth Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Nirvana Resort, Beijing, People's Republic of China, from 11 to 12 March 2011. The Meeting was attended by the EAS Partnership Council Chair, Dr. Chua Thia- Eng, Intergovernmental Session Chair, Dr. Li Haiqing, and Technical Session Chair, Mr. Hiroshi Terashima. Representatives from the State Oceanic Administration of China and Ocean Policy Research Foundation of Japan participated as observers. The PEMSEA Resource Facility (PRF) served as the Secretariat for the meeting.

The Seventh Executive Committee Meeting was held at the Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center, Manila, Philippines, from 26-27 October 2010. The Meeting was attended by the EAS Partnership Council Chair, Dr. Chua Thia-Eng; Intergovernmental Session Chair, Dr. Li Haiqing; and Technical Session Chair, Mr. Hiroshi Terashima. Representatives from PEMSEA Partner Countries participated in the meeting, namely: Cambodia; China; DPR Korea; Indonesia; Japan; Lao PDR; Philippines; RO Korea; Singapore; Timor-Leste; and Vietnam. Representatives from Non-Country Partners were in attendance, namely: Coastal Management Center (CMC); Korea Maritime Institute (KMI); Northwest Pacific Action Plan (NOWPAP); Ocean Policy Research Foundation (OPRF); Oil Spill Response Limited (Oil Spill Response); The Swedish Environmental Secretariat for Asia (SENSA); UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP); UNEP-GPA; and Yellow Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (YSLME). Representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Manila and the UNDP Regional Centre in Bangkok, GEF Secretariat and The World Bank were present. Representatives from Thailand and the GEF Evaluation Office served as observers. Two experts were also invited to deliver presentations related to PEMSEA’s transformation. The PEMSEA Resource Facility (PRF) served as the Secretariat for the meeting.
