Construction Works: Repair of PRF’s 2nd Floor ladies’ rooms

 

PEMSEA is an international organization specializing in integrated coastal and ocean governance for the Seas of East Asia.  It is a partnership arrangement comprised of 11 Country Partners and 20 Non-Country Partners with a collective commitment to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Strategy for the Seas of East Asia (SDS-SEA).  The SDS-SEA represents a consensus among Partners on the shared vision, objectives and action programs of PEMSEA for sustainable development of the Seas of East Asia.  PEMSEA also works closely with educational institutions, Regional Centers of Excellence and ICM Learning Centers to build a critical mass of broad-based, trained and educated coastal and ocean managers to undertake the enormous tasks in the region. PEMSEA Resource Facility (PRF) provides secretariat, communications and technical services and assistance to partners to implement the Sustainable Development Strategy for the Seas of East Asia Implementation Plan 2023-2027.

Terms of Reference (TOR) for Construction Works: Repair of Office Restrooms

  1. Background: The office restrooms are in need of repair and renovation to ensure functionality and improve overall hygiene standards. This Terms of Reference (TOR) outlines the scope of work required for the construction project.

  2. Objective: The primary objective is to undertake comprehensive repair and renovation works in the office restrooms to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.

  3. Scope of Work:

    • Assess the current condition of the restrooms and identify areas requiring repair or renovation.

    • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, and pipes as necessary.

    • Repair or replace damaged flooring, walls, and ceiling materials.

    • Apply fresh paint and perform any necessary cosmetic enhancements.

    • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

    • Provide estimates for materials, labor, and time required for completion.

    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to minimize disruption to office operations.

  4. Deliverables:

  2. Quality Assurance: The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all repair and renovation works meet the required quality standards and specifications.

  3. Health and Safety: The contractor must adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of workers and office staff throughout the construction process.

  4. Reporting and Communication: Regular progress reports should be provided to the admin personnel or designated authority, with open channels of communication maintained throughout the duration of the project.

Terms of Reference (TOR) for Hotel Meeting Venue and Room Accommodation

 

MOF/PEMSEA ODA PROJECT ON REDUCING MARINE PLASTICS IN THE EAST ASIAN SEAS REGION

1st LEARNING EXCHANGE PROGRAME ON MARINE PLASTICS MANAGEMENT

SEOUL RO KOREA; APRIL 21-27, 2024

 

1. Introduction

 

The purpose of this TOR is to outline the requirements and expectations for securing a hotel meeting venue and room accommodation for the Learning Exchange Program on Marine Plastics Management organized by MOF/PEMSEA ODA Project on Reducing Marine Plastics Regional Project Management Unit, to be held in Seoul RO Korea, this April 21-27, 2024. The selected hotel will serve as the venue for the event's meetings and provide accommodations for attendees.

 

2. Scope of Work

 

The selected hotel must fulfill the following requirements:

 

Meeting Venue:

 

Banquet:

 

April 22: 1 meeting room for 40 people from 13:00 to 19:30 (to serve lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner)

April 25: Farewell dinner for 30 people at Koreana Hotel

Provide a suitable meeting room 

Ensure the meeting room is equipped with necessary facilities such as audiovisual equipment, whiteboards, and internet access.

Offer catering services as per the event schedule.

 

Accommodation:

 

10 rooms from April 21 to 27 with 2 breakfasts

7 rooms from April 21 to 27 with 1 breakfast

3 rooms from April 20 to 27 with 1 breakfast

 

Ensure rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with essential amenities.

Offer special rates for event attendees.

Guarantee availability of rooms for the duration of the event.

 

3. Deliverables

 

The hotel is expected to deliver the following:

 

Confirmation of meeting venue reservation, including details of the meeting room and facilities provided.

Confirmation of room reservations, including the number of rooms, check-in/out dates, and rates.

Provision of a finalized catering menu for coffee breaks and meals.

 

4. Timeline

February 7:                        Evaluation of proposals and selection of hotel

February 12:                     Confirmation of hotel booking and contract signing

February 26:                     Finalization of catering arrangements

 

 

5. Evaluation Criteria

 

Proposals from hotels will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

 

Suitability of meeting venue and room accommodation

Availability of required facilities and amenities

Competitive pricing and special rates for event attendees

Past performance and reputation of the hotel

Proximity and accessibility of the hotel to the upcycling sites to be visited 

 

 

6. Submission of Proposals

 

Interested hotels are requested to submit their proposals by February 5, 2024 to Ms. Elsie Merina at emerina@pemsea.org  Proposals should include details of meeting venue options, room accommodation rates, and any special services offered for events.

 

7. Contractual Arrangements

 

Upon selection, the chosen hotel will enter into an Agreement with PEMSEA outlining the terms and conditions of the agreement, including payment terms, cancellation policies, and liability clauses.

1. Introduction: The following Terms of Reference (TOR) outline the requirements and specifications for the repair of the parking area and pavements of PEMSEA Building, DENR Compound Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. The aim of this project is to address any damages, enhance safety, and improve the overall aesthetics of the parking facility and pavements.

 

2. Scope of Work: The scope of work for the repair of building parking and pavements includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Assessment of the current condition of the parking area and pavements.

  • Identification and rectification of any structural damages, cracks, potholes, or uneven surfaces.

  • Replacement or repair of damaged pavement materials such as asphalt, concrete, or paving stones.

  • Installation or repair of necessary drainage systems to prevent water accumulation.

  • Application of appropriate sealants or coatings to enhance durability and longevity.

  • Implementation of safety measures such as signage, markings, and lighting as required.

  • Compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

 

3. Deliverables: The expected deliverables from the contractor include:
