Researchers Join PEMSEA for KM Project

Quezon City, Philippines — Ms. Jhowilyn Zaldivar and Ms. Vida Isabel Vasquez join the PEMSEA Resource Facility as Research Assistants for the Global Environment Facility (GEF)/World Bank medium-sized project (MSP) on Applying Knowledge Management to Scale up Partnership Investments for Sustainable Development of Large Marine Ecosystems of East Asia and their Coasts (KM project). The research assistants will be responsible for building up the database of the knowledge portal’s e-library and online directory. The e-library will be composed of journal articles, publications, and other materials which will serve as resources regarding integrated coastal management (ICM) and other relevant topics. The directory, on the other hand, will contain an information on national policymakers, local chief executives, market players, experts and communities of practice that are relevant to World Bank projects and PEMSEA clients. A cum laude graduate of BA Sociology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Ms. Zaldivar has just finished her degree last April and this is her first job. Ms. Vasquez graduated from De La Salle University with a degree in International Studies, Major in European Studies. Prior to joining PEMSEA, she worked as a Data Analyst at Signal Data Corporation.
