PEMSEA Welcomes Three New PRF Staff

Quezon City, Philippines — PEMSEA welcomes Ms. Regina Sison, Ms. Maria Monica Edralin and Mr. Humprey Garces to the PEMSEA Resource Facility.
Ms. Regina Sison joins PEMSEA as Finance Assistant. She has a degree in Accountancy and brings over nine years of experience in finance and accounting services to different GEF/UNDP projects. Most recently, she was involved in the Sulu-Celebes Sea Sustainable Fisheries Management Project based in Manila. As part of the PRF, Regina will be assisting in general accounting services and other finance-related tasks.
Ms. Maria Monica Edralin and Mr. Humprey Garces will be involved in the development of a working document on the certification of ICM professionals around the region.
Ms. Edralin has worked in various projects in the field of disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and environmental governance. Prior to joining PEMSEA, Monica worked as a Research Associate at the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance. She obtained her master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines and has recently received her Certificate of Advanced Studies in Disaster Risk Reduction at the Swiss Institute of Technology.
Mr. Garces has a degree in Geography from the University of the Philippines and is currently finishing his master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the same university. In the last five years, Humprey has been involved in project management and business development activities in various organizations. Most recently, he was Senior Research Assistant for a World Bank/UNICEF Project at the Resources, Environment and Economics Center for Studies, Inc., based in the Philippines.
