PEMSEA Welcomes New Editors

Quezon City, Philippines — PEMSEA welcomes two new editors, Ms. Melissa Borlaza and Mr. Lawrence San Diego, to the PEMSEA Resource Facility. They will be responsible for all aspects of production of various knowledge products and multimedia materials required by implementers of the SDS-SEA, including official publications, the Tropical Coasts magazine and PEMSEA website.

Ms. Melissa Borlaza has a degree in Mass Communications from Centro Escolar University. She brings to PEMSEA more than six years of professional editing experience she gained from working with educational publishers and an editorial outsourcing company. Melissa, together with Lawrence, will do all required proofreading, editing, correcting and rewriting for all manuscripts and knowledge products, adhering closely to the PEMSEA editorial style and branding guide.

Mr. Lawrence San Diego, a journalism graduate from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, was a transcript editor, newspaper proofreader and nonprofit writer before joining PEMSEA. Aside from his duties as Editor, he will also serve as Communications Assistant, where he will assist in writing, producing and disseminating information materials, including PEMSEA's E-Updates and press releases; maintaining and updating the PEMSEA website; and ensuring timely production and quality control of PEMSEA-published outputs.
