Dear all,

We hope you have enjoyed some restful and healthy summer months.

We are looking forward to our inaugural Ocean Stewardship Annual Stewardship review at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. These invite-only CEO Roundtables will convene CEOs, heads of state, heads of organisations and UN agencies to take stock on progress and define an agenda of actions on the key action areas identified in our Ocean Stewardship 2030 report.  Additional information is provided below.

This summer has been busy and productive at the Action Platform. Before the summer we convened a series of working meetings to help address some of the challenges facing the blue economy through science-industry collaboration. The output is our new Blue Resilience brief, which puts forward clear opportunities for science-industry joint action. We are committed to continuing our work to advance science-based ocean business and are delighted to have joined forces with IOC-UNESCO through a letter of intent to signal our continued collaboration.

With the UN General Assembly week approaching, it will soon mark one year since we launched the Sustainable Ocean Principles. The first sector-focused Practical Guidances will be released at this occasion. This year we will focus on getting more signatories to the Principles and work towards turning the Principles into business practices and mechanisms to quantify sustainable ocean business.

On a final note, we hope to see you at the UN Global Compact's Uniting Business LIVE from 21 to 23 September. On this occasion, we are calling on our network of thousands of companies to demonstrate support for inclusive multilateralism by signing on to a Statement from Business Leaders for Renewed Global Cooperation. If your CEO wishes to support this statement, kindly indicate this by 14 September here

We hope you will join us for our other events on the margins of the UN General Assembly listed below.

Best regards,
