PEMSEA Executive Director promotes World Ocean Day
In celebration of World Oceans Day, Prof. Raphael P. M. Lotilla, PEMSEA Resource Facility Executive Director was recently a guest on the television programs Abante Pilipinas (Onward Philippines) and One Morning Show. Prof. Lotilla introduced PEMSEA during the programs as well as the application of integrated coastal management (ICM) for the sustainable development of marine and coastal areas in the East Asian Seas region. He also explained the significance of World Oceans Day.
The Abante Pilipinas is a public affairs program hosted by
Congressman Bienvenido Abante (6th District, Manila) and Bishop Rueben
Abante of the Presidential Council on Values Formation. One Morning
Show, which is aired simultaneously over three government channels,
included Prof. Lotilla and Philippine Department of Environment and
Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary Theresa Castillo as special
guests.
